Life: What Does It Take?
Life: What does it take to make it through? I am no expert, I feel like, even though I am almost fifty years old, that I am just getting my "feet wet." There are so many others, like my parents for instance, who are so much wiser than I. I think it is true, what they say! If you do more LISTENING, than you do TALKING, you just might learn something. You just might avoid trouble for yourself. What truth! It works everytime - both ways! For you see, I have tried both ways. Toil and trouble, oh yeah, I've gotten the trouble alright. If I had only listened more carefully to my parents when I was younger. No truer saying has ever been spoken, that the older you get, and I hope I do get older, that your parents become wiser! Wiser? Mine are sage by now! I am not certain I will EVER reach the stage of their maturity and wisdom, BUT IF I listen closely, I just might begin to understand what they've been trying to spell out to me for fifty years! Ya think I would've gotten it by now! Life. It is never predictable, always baffling, but what does it take to get through it? Successfully? Listening to those wiser than we think we are. Those who have spent time with God Almighty listening to His still, small voice. There is no other way to take life. Bring it on . . . . . .
